Cabinet clears strategic investment plan to set up Chabahar port in Iran
The Cabinet on Saturday cleared the long-stalled strategic investment plan to set up the Chabahar that would serve as a critical transit route from Afghanistan to India that doesn't pass through Pakistan. said the port has an 'extreme strategic importance' for India and JNPT and would partner the government in developing the port for which nearly $86 million is being invested. The cabinet cleared yet another long-pending proposal to build Ahmedabad Metro at a cost of Rs 10,773 crore, spanning a distance of 35.96 kilometers in its first phase.
